नई दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन पर शनिवार को हुई भगदड़ मामले पर दिल्ली पुलिस ने अपना बयान जारी किया है. दिल्ली पुलिस के मुताबिक, दो ट्रेनों के एक जैसे नाम को लेकर यात्रियों में असमंजस की स्थिति पैदा हुई, जिसके कारण भगदड़ मची. दिल्ली पुलिस ने अपने बयान में कहा कि "प्रयागराज" नाम से दो ट्रेनें थीं. प्रयागराज एक्सप्रेस और प्रयागराज स्पेशल.

उत्तर रेलवे के मुख्य जनसंपर्क अधिकारी हिमांशु शेखर उपाध्याय का कहना है कि कल रात हुई यह घटना बेहद दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण थी. भारतीय रेलवे के सचिव स्तर के अधिकारियों की एक समिति मामले की जांच कर रही है. सीसीटीवी फुटेज और तथ्यों की जांच की जा रही है. उत्तर रेलवे जल्द से जल्द सामान्य स्थिति बहाल करने की कोशिश कर रहा है. निर्धारित ट्रेन रद्द नहीं की गई, न ही प्लेटफॉर्म में कोई बदलाव किया गया.

उत्तर रेलवे के प्रधान मुख्य वाणिज्यिक प्रबंधक (पीसीसीएम) नरसिंह देव ने कहा कि रेलवे द्वारा गठित दो सदस्यीय समिति ने जांच शुरू कर दी है. हम सभी सबूतों को समझने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं. हमने सीसीटीवी फुटेज भी देखी है. हम चश्मदीदों के बयान भी लेंगे. सभी तरह के सबूतों की जांच के बाद जांच रिपोर्ट तैयार कर प्रशासन को दी जाएगी.
